Jos Buttler Auctioning His 2019 World Cup Final Jersey to Help London Hospitals Fight Coronavirus

The blue shirt has been put up for auction on eBay.

England wicketkeeper Jos Buttler is auctioning his 2019 ODI World Cup jersey to raise funds which he will donate to London hospitals battling coronavirus pandemic. Buttler wore the jersey in the summit clash against New Zealand as England won a historic maiden ODI world title at the Lord’s in July year.

The blue shirt has been put up for auction on eBay.

“I’m going to be donating my World Cup Final shirt singed by all players to raise funds for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals charity,” Buttler said in a video on Twitter. “Last week they launched an emergency appeal to provide life saving equipment to help those affected during the Covid-19 outbreak.”

The iconic long sleeve shirt has been signed by the England team.

At the time of posting this article, the bid, which was kicked off by British media personality Piers Morgan for £10,000 has soared up to £ 65,700.

England has registered over 21,000 cases of coronavirus infection so far.

Globally, the virus has infected more than 8,71,000 and at least 41,472 people have died so far.
