Cape Town, July 24: JP Duminy will be returning home ahead of South Africa’s third Test against England, which possibly hints at the end of his Test career.

Duminy was dropped after South Africa lost in the first Test at Lord’s and the team management has confirmed of the left-handed batsman returning home before the third Test at Oval, starting Thursday.

South Africa leveled the series at Trent Bridge, by winning the second Test by 340 runs. In his last eight innings, the 33-year-old has scored only 121 runs.

Duminy has played 46 Tests for South Africa with six centuries at an average of 32.85. Moreover, he has claimed 42 Test wickets with his slow offbreaks.
