New York: Former Pakistan cricketer Kamran Akmal apologised to Harbhajan Singh on Monday for his derogatory remarks on Indian pacer Arshdeep Singh and the Sikh community. Claiming that his words were “inappropriate and disrespectful”, Kamran said he was “truly sorry” for his comments about Sikhs. His comments did not go down well with the fans who ripped him apart.
“I deeply regret my recent comments and sincerely apologize to Harbhajan Singh and the Sikh community. My words were inappropriate and disrespectful. I have the utmost respect for Sikhs all over the world and never intended to hurt anyone. I am truly sorry. #Respect #Apology,” Akmal wrote on X, tagging the former India cricketer.

Following Kamran’s statement, Harbhajan reminded him of the good things Sikhs had done for them.
