Indian eves opener Smriti Mandhana made her commentary debut during the ongoing Kia Super League. She plays for the Western Storm franchise. The southpaw had earlier smashed a 20-ball 48 which also set up the win against Yorkshire Diamonds. The Bombay-girl looked at ease while doing it. Chasing 163, Mandhana cut loose from the word go which helped the Storm win the match. She hit five sixes along with her partner Heather, who too hit the same number of sixes. The duo accounted for 10 of the 15 sixes hit by the Stormtroopers. The attacking left-hander is surely ticking the right boxes at the age of 22. She recently turned 22 and Sachin Tendulkar too wished her.

Her batting style can also be compared with former Australian Adam Gilchrist as both played similar roles for their respective sides. Both go out there at the top of the order with the intention of attacking. Mandhana, along with Mithali Raj and Jemimah Rodriguez has been getting the Indian eves of too good starts which helps.

This girl from Mumbai has a long future ahead and we believe this is just the start. Mandhana would be expected to play a pivotal role in the upcoming ICC Women’s T20I World Cup at the fag end of 2018. Indian eves will also face-off against arch-rivals Pakistan counterpart in the group stage of the tournament.
