Kolkata Knight Riders beat Delhi Daredevils by seven wickets in match 32 of the Indian Premier League. Set a target of 161, Kolkata got there in a mere 16.2 overs. Kolkata were aided by Gautam Gambhir’s 71 not out and an innings of 59 by Robin Uthappa. Kagiso Rabada meanwhile bagged two wickets in the second innings of the match.
Earlier, put into bat, Delhi Daredevils made 160 for six in their allotted 20 overs. The top scorer of the innings was Sanju Samson who made 60. There was also a useful contribution from Shreyas Iyer who made 47. Meanwhile, Nathan Coulter-Nile bagged three wickets in the first innings of the match. There will be another match played on Friday. Kings XI Punjab will host Sunrisers Hyderabad in Mohali. It is the first of the four double-headers over the next few days.

Looking at the all-important points table of the competition, Kolkata are at the top, having 14 points in the bag. Mumbai Indians with 12 points are number two and Sunrisers Hyderabad are number three, having nine points in their kitty. The fourth position is with Rising Pune Supergiant, who have eight points. Kings XI Punjab (six points) and Gujarat Lions (six points) take the next two spots in that order. Royal Challengers Bangalore (five points) and Gujarat (four points) are at number seven and eight respectively.
