Xavi’s stint as a Barcelona manager was of two and half years. He joined the La Liga giants in November 2021 and won the La Liga and Spanish Supercopa in 2022-23 season. With no trophies this season, Xavi has initially announced that he would leave at the end of the season. But sudden changes in the match results made Barcelona management convince him to stay, on which Xavi agreed.

However, the recent press conference changed the whole situation. Meanwhile, during his time as a Barcelona manager, Xavi gave chances to many youngsters into the first team including the likes of Lamine Yamal, Pau Cubarsi, Fermin Lopez and Hector Fort.

Xavi’s Plans for the future aren’t clear as he said he wants to take a rest first and hasn’t ruled out a return to the club at some point in future. Meanwhile, as per reports, German Hansi Flick is in line to be appointed as Xavi’s successor next week.

However, the Spaniard warned his successor of the struggle at Barcelona. “They should know that they’ve got a difficult situation, because Barca is a difficult club and there’s an adverse financial situation too — it won’t be easy at all,” he told DAZN.

“I think the work we’ve done has not been valued enough given the adverse situation we came from. (Barca) were ninth in the table when we arrived, we finished second… (then) we won a double, and this year we weren’t up to the standard but because of four key games,” he added.
