Miami: Spotlight was on Argentinian captain Lionel Messi as expected ahead of the much-awaited Copa America 2024 final versus Colombia. While the game started late due to some problems created by the fans without tickets, the game eventually got underway 75 minutes from scheduled time. It was an aggressive start by both sides, as both the footballing giants gunned for that opening goal. With a little over 10 minutes to go for half-time, Messi was tackled and he fell on the pitch after a tackle from Arias.
After falling, he rolled on the pitch and needed medical attention straightaway as he was moaning in pain and did not look comfortable. A few fans reckon Messi was purely acting and nothing had actually happened to him. Here is the clip of Messi’s injury.

“We would like to inform you that individuals without tickets will not be allowed entry into the stadium. Only those with purchased tickets will be permitted entry once access is reopened. We also inform you that the match will be delayed by 30 minutes, starting at 8:30 PM,” Hard Rock stadium said in the statement.
Meanwhile, the summit clash is finally underway. The scores are locked at 0-0 at half-time.
