Barcelona registered a 3-2 win over Real Madrid at Santiago Bernabeu, thanks to Lionel Messi’s last-minute winner. Messi scored his 500th goal for Barcelona, and more importantly, it gave his side a match-winning lead at Santiago Bernabeu.
In the 28th minute, Carlos Henrique Casemiro gave Real Madrid an opening lead. However, a few minutes later Messi nullified it after he netted a pass from Ivan Rakitic to make it one-one. The majority of the second half saw both teams giving their best to take the lead. It was Rakitic in the 73rd minute who handed Barcelona a 2-1 lead. The Croatia international’s goal looked like a winner at this point of time.
