New Delhi: Legendary footballer Lionel Messi has a fan following of crores not only abroad but also in India. Fans are crazy to see him. Indian fans will have a chance to get a glimpse of Messi. Kerala Sports Minister V Abdurahiman on Wednesday (November 20) revealed that the Argentina football team, including legendary player Lionel Messi, will visit the state for an international match next year.

Addressing a press conference in Thiruvananthapuram, the Sports Minister expressed confidence in Kerala’s ability to host the historic occasion and said that the match will be held under the complete supervision of the state government. “All financial assistance for organizing this high-profile football event will be given by the businessmen of the state.”

Let us tell you that Messi last played in India in 2011 when Argentina took part in an international match against Venezuela. This match ended in a goalless draw. Football icon Lionel Messi is given a special status in India. Although cricket is popular in India, but when it comes to Messi, people automatically get attracted towards football.
