The much-awaited 15-member Team India squad for the Asia Cup 2025 will be announced in Mumbai on Tuesday. The BCCI selectors led by chairman Ajit Agarkar will have a few big and controversial decisions to make.

The question on everyone’s mind is whether Test captain Shubman Gill will be selected for the tournament with India’s top three already settled. Apart from this it will be interesting to see if Punjab Kings skipper Shreyas Iyer can also make his much-awaited T20I comeback or not.

    Asia Cup 2025 India’s Squad Announcement LIVE Updates: Ajit Agarkar said about the selection that Yashasvi Jaiswal‘s exclusion from the team is just bad luck, because Abhishek Sharma has performed well in the last few months and his bowling ability gives the captain an additional option. He further said that this time one player had to be left out, and unfortunately, Yashasvi will have to wait. In the case of Shreyas Iyer, he also clarified that it is neither his fault nor the selectors’ fault, but only 15 players can be included in the team, so he too will have to wait for his turn for now.
