So, Australia with this comprehensive win remain unbeaten in the Tri-Series. Spare a thought for England, no one rated them to make it to finals with World Champions India being the third team in this competition.
Mitchell Starc is Man of the Series and fittingly it is Glenn Maxwell, who is adjudged Man of the Match for his all-round performance. He scored 95 runs early on and later scalped four wickets with the ball.
Splendid performance this by Australia. Put to bat, they were in trouble early on, but century stand between Glenn Maxwell and Mitchell Marsh helped Australia bounce back, before James Faulkner smashed his quickfire half-century. England never were in the chase lost Ian Bell early on and then kept losing wickets at regular intervals.

Smith, who is unbeaten on 38, is looking solid and has been successful in finding an odd boundary. All Australia need is a partnership from here on, both these batsmen can afford to take their time as it is not an easy track to bat.

Hello and welcome to the live cricket score updates of the Final One-Day International (ODI) match of the Carlton MID tri-series between Australia and England at the Western Australian Cricket Stadium (WACA) in Perth on Sunday. It is time for final as Australia, who are undefeated in the tri-series take on rejuvenated England side.
Australia have so far emerged as best side of the tournament, having won three matches with one game washed out. They will look to stay consistent ahead of ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, which will take place two weeks later. Australia had some comprehensive performances with both bat and ball and looks like a strong contender to lift this tri-series and World Cup as well.
England came into the tri-series after a dejected tour of Sri Lanka and with new captain Eoin Morgan. The side has done exceedingly well to make it to finals. They won two (against India) and lost two (against Australia) matches out of four. Not rated as favourites, England suddenly have showed they cannot be underestimated.
It has to be said that the best two teams in the tri-series have made it to finals. For India, it was a win-less campaign and will have to focus on lot before the World Cup.
