It was Kohli and Rahane who eventually bailed the side out of this trouble and put their team in the driving seat. On day four, India will be hoping to score quickly and give at least a target of 400 runs to England. The visiting side, on the other hand, will need a miracle to pull things back.
Given the pitch condition, anything past 300-run mark will be a massive challenge for England to chase. With time left in the match result seems obvious until England batsmen respond with determination. Alastair Cook will be hoping his spinners pick wickets on day four as they failed to pick one on day three. Broad and Anderson were the only ones to find their name in wickets column.
One thing is sure, it is going to be a cracking Sunday. Indian fans will be hoping that the captain Kohli scores back to back Test hundreds and it is very much possible. But first hour on day fur will be crucial as far as batting is concerned.
