Mahela Jayawardene will be turning out as a player in the T20 league in England later this year. This is no surprise considering that the Sri Lankan great has featured in multiple T20 leagues since his retirement from the game internationally two years ago.

He is currently also involved with the ongoing Indian Premier League (IPL). Jayawardene is the coach of the Mumbai Indians, who have been two-time IPL champions and are also on the top of the points table in the 2017 season.

Jayawardene was quoted in the press release which was out to inform everyone about his association with Lancashire. He said, “I’m very excited about joining Lancashire Lightning for the NatWest T20 Blast this summer. Lancashire is a huge county with a fine history in the game. There is a young group of players at the club and I’m really looking forward to the opportunity to working with them.” Also Check- IPL 2017 LIVE Streaming Sunrisers Hyderabad vs Mumbai Indians
