Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s Wife Sakshi Wishes Chennai Super Kings’ Shardul Thakur on His 27th Birthday — PIC
With the bat, he has not been in the best of form and that has led to a lot of criticism, but behind the stumps, he has been extraordinarily good.
Former India captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni’s wife posted a heartwarming message on Shardul Thakur’s birthday. Thakur, who recently became the 294th player to represent the country, turned 27 on October 16. Shardul did not have a good or memorable debut by any stretch of the imagination, his maiden match lasted merely 10 balls. In the 10th ball of his first spell on Day 1, he succumbed to a groin injury, which saw him miss the rest of the match. But this post from Sakshi should act as a balm and cheer him up.

Well, one can surely smell the Chennai Super Kings bond. Both MS Dhoni and Sardul Thakur play for the same franchise in the IPL. Making a comeback to IPL in 2018, MS Dhoni-led CSK to their third title. The CSK franchisee along with the Mumbai Indians have been the most successful franchise in the history of the league.
Thakur is an aggressive quick bowler, who has the ability to swing the ball away from the right-handers. He also hits the deck hard, and can often rush batsmen with his skiddy pace.
Meanwhile, MS Dhoni has been included in the upcoming ODIs versus the touring Windies side. He was also a part of the triumphant Asia Cup squad as well. With the bat, he has not been in the best of form and that has led to a lot of criticism, but behind the stumps, he has been extraordinarily good.
The Windies ODIs start from October 21.
