The Manchester City women’s team were left bamboozled after an extraordinary incident where one of their own players, Abbie McManus scored an absolute catastrophic own goal on Sunday.

Manchester City were taking on Birmingham in the Women’s super league match when McManus opted to make a back pass from the opposition’s half to the goalkeeper at the eighth minute of the game.

little did the defender know, that was going to be one of the worst passes to ever be made in her career, the ball bounced over the head of the Manchester City goalkeeper Ellie Roebuck before ending up at the back of the net.

Ellie Roebuck was absolutely furious after this calamitous move while Manchester City captain Steph Houghton was clearly agitated due to the lack of concentration displayed by her side.
