India and Pakistan’s rivalry on-field is known to all. When these two rivals play, it turns into a war of sorts. Former explosive Indian batsman Virender Sehwag is known for his quirky and witty posts on social media.
After defending champions India thrashed Pakistan in the first Champions Trophy game, Virender Sehwag took to Twitter to congratulate the Indian team.

However, this tweet did not go down well with Pakistan’s former wicket keeper Rashid Latif. Latif posted a 15-minute video criticising Sehwag.
His video drew a lot of flak online by Sehwag and Indian supporters alike.
Sehwag’s response after the incident was more sportsmanlike.

“A meaningful silence is always better than meaningless words”, he wrote.
Indian cricketer Manoj Tiwary seemed quite upset with Latif’s rant. Tiwary himself posted videos blasting Latif for looking down upon Sehwag.
Tiwary also warned Latif that if he posted another video on social media, he will hit him with a slipper. Tiwary, who plays for West Bengal, said that Latif’s statement was not welcomed at all and he had let himself down in front of every youth who looked up to him in India.
