McClenaghan plys his trade for the Mumbai Indians franchise in the cash-rich Indian Premier League (IPL0, whereas, Dhoni is the skipper of Chennai Super Kings (CSK). The two have played against each other at various levels and know one another’s strengths.
Meanwhile, due to the Coronavirus outbreak, the Board of Control of Cricket in India (BCCI) postponed IPL to April 15. Also, it is still not confirmed if the upcoming season of the league will get underway due to the Coronavirus outbreak.
BCCI president Sourav Ganguly has said that if at all the tournament has to go on, it has to be a truncated one as time is already lost. BCCI has also said in a statement issued that any decision regarding IPL would be taken keeping the health and welfare of fans and cricketers in mind.
