Mithali Raj’s Reply After Being Trolled is Winning The Internet!

Instead of ignoring, Mithali Raj decided to take on the Twitter user head-on. And her response was surely one of a kind

New Delhi: Social media trolls are nothing new. In this age, day in day out people are trolled. And celebrities are the easy target of trolling on social networking sites. Latest to be trolled in the ‘internet universe’ is Indian women’s cricket team captain Mithali Raj.

Mithali took to Twitter and posted a picture of her along with teammates Veda Krishnamurthy, Mamatha Maben and Nooshin Al Khadeer. The trio was in Bengaluru to attend a launch of a new cricket academy.

“What a momentous day today was, standing with these special women,” Mithali tweeted along with the picture.

Mithali got many positive responses for her post. However, there was one negative reply as well. One of the Twitter users wrote, “sorry Smt Captain, hahaha odd looking. the fasina [sic] wet,” indicating towards a sweat patch near Mithali’s armpit.

Instead of ignoring, the Indian skipper decided to take on the Twitter user head-on. And her response was surely one of a kind. “I m where I m because I sweated it out on d field! I see no reason 2 b ashamed f it, when I’m on d ground inaugerating [sic] a cricket academy,” she wrote.

This surely is not something new. Celebrities have more often been the target of social media trolls. India’s fast bowler Mohammed Shami usually finds himself in the centre of these trolls. Recently, Irfan Pathan and Mohammad Kaif were trolled as well.
