After bowling Pakistan to win in the final of ICC Champions Trophy 2017 against India, Mohammad Amir proved why he is regarded as the special talent. Now for his county side Essex the Pakistani speedster is making it to the headlines all thanks to his sensational bowling.
During Essex’s Division One match against Yorkshire at Scarborough, Amir was in sensational form. The left-arm pacer scalped two five-wicket hauls in the match to help his side win by eight wickets. Also Read- Najam Sethi Appointed Pakistan Cricket Board Chairman
In first innings, he returned with figures of 5/18 in 11.2 overs as Yorkshire were bundled out for paltry 113 runs. Essex then took the first innings lead of 118 runs after scoring 231, with Amir contributing valuable 22 runs coming in to bat at number 10.
In second innings, Amir continued his impressive show as he tore apart Yorkshire batting order with another five-wicket haul. He finished with figures of 5/54 as Yorkshire were bowled out for 150 in their second innings. Essex then chased the target of 32 runs with eight wickets to spare.

Amir, who was handed a five-year ban for involvement in the spot-fixing case alongside Salman Butt and Mohammad Asif, has been impressive since his return to international cricket. He has once again become a vital cog in Pakistan’s bowling line-up.
