Mohammad Kaif Defends Virat Kohli’s ‘Leave India Remark’, Says His Statement Has Been Twisted
Mohammad Kaif has come in support of Virat Kohli and has opined that the Indian skipper is being targetted for no reason. Kohli had asked his critic to leave India if he likes batting of others.
Former Indian cricketer Mohammed Kaif has come out and defended India captain Virat Kohli over his ‘leave India’ statement to a fan during the launch of his official application. According to Kaif, Kohli’s statement was blown out-of-proportion and twisted. The former Indian cricketer took to Twitter and his post read, “The unfair targeting of Kohli just shows how statements are twisted according to whatever suits the agenda of people. He has publicly in the past admired sportsman from across the globe & his statement clearly was in a certain context. But mischievous targeting is a norm for a few.”

Meanwhile, Kohli himself came out to clarify his statement in a Twitter post after he was targeted by all sections of the society for his unsavoury remark. His post read,”I guess trolling isn’t for me guys, I’ll stick to getting trolled! I spoke about how “these Indians” was mentioned in the comment and that’s all. I’m all for freedom of choice. Keep it light guys and enjoy the festive season. Love and peace to all.”

Kohli may have defended himself but the Board of Control for Cricket India’s (BCCI) officials aren’t impressed with his statement. In fact, Committee of Administrators (COA) is also looking into Kohli’s statement, a report in ANI suggests.
