Pakistan Cricket Board announced a preliminary 15-man squad for the upcoming World Cup and the big news was the omission of Mohammed Amir. The star pace bowler was not picked in the preliminary set up. Amir along with Asif Ali did not make the cut. Amir is a star bowler whose initial burst against India in the 2017 Champions Trophy sealed the tournament for the Men in Green. He had picked up crucial wickets of Virat and Rohit in quick succession the finals. He may not have been included in the 15-man WC squad but he finds a spot in the upcoming series against England.
