Indian fast bowler Mohammad Siraj expressed his anger on social media after a bad experience with Air India Express.

Siraj said his flight, Air India Express Flight IX 2884 from Guwahati to Hyderabad and was supposed to leave at 7:25 pm, but it didn’t take off on time. He said that even after asking many times, the airline gave no clear reason for the delay and left passengers waiting for four hours.

“Flight delayed by 4 hours and still no update. We are stranded. Worst airline experience,” Siraj wrote, warning fellow travellers against boarding the flight unless the airline can’t take a stand.

Siraj was flying back to Hyderabad after India suffered a heavy 408-run defeat to South Africa and lost the two-Test series 0-2. This is India’s second straight home Test series whitewash after losing 3–0 to New Zealand last year.

In the second Test, off-spinner Simon Harmer took 6-37 as India, chasing a huge target of 549, were bowled out for only 140 on the final day. Ravindra Jadeja fought hard and scored 54, but he was the only Indian batter to put up resistance.

South Africa handed India their biggest ever Test defeat by runs and set a new record for their largest winning margin against India. From the moment South Africa won the toss, everything went their way. India had also lost the first Test by 30 runs at Eden Gardens in Kolkata.

These back-to-back home defeats have raised serious questions as India’s strong home record in Test cricket has taken a major hit since their 3-0 loss to New Zealand last year. In the second Test in Guwahati, Siraj took 2-106 in the first innings and 0-19 in the second. India will now face South Africa in a three-match ODI series starting on November 30.
