Yes, after Sachin Tendulkar’s son Arjun Tendulkar grabbed the limelight after claiming his maiden international wicket, it seems former South African pacer Makhaya Ntini’s son Thando is following the same path. Thando Ntini bagged the Man of the Match accolade, after inspiring the SA under-19s to a 79-run victory in the first Youth ODI against England at the Riverside Stadium. He starred with the ball picking 4/19 in eight overs. It happened during the 1st limited over match against their England counterparts.

Thando took a wicket off his first ball of the innings, sending the opener Ben Charlesworth back in the hut. Thando took two more wickets and helped to polished off the tail quickly. As a result, England was bundled out for 150. Oliver Robinson tried to revive the England innings and get it on track. Robinson scored 54 from 74 balls before the 18-year-old took his wicket and that seemed to act as the final nail in the coffin for England. Thando also came good with the bat as he shared a crucial 32-run partnership for the eighth wicket with Curtis Campher. He scored 12 runs from 24 balls.
The second match will take place on July 26 where we’ll get to see more of Thando Ntini along with many other future prospects in the world of Cricket.
