Seems like the popular Netflix series ‘Narcos’ fever has gripped the English pacers James Anderson and Stuart Broad. Recently, the pace duo was seen imitating characters DEA Agents Stephen Murphy and Javier Pena from the famous series. In the popular series, Pena can be seen investigating Pablo Escobar, the drug lord and the Medellin Cartel with his colleague Murphy. Stuart Broad took to Instagram to post the picture and captioned it as, “Narcos”. In the picture posted by the fast bowling duo, Pena is played by Anderson and Stuart Broad plays Murphy. The two pacers have been pillars around which the English team has succeeded over the last decade and now they are in the twilight of their careers, seems they are just having fun. This also shows the strong bond the two pacers share, which would be heartwarming for fans.
In Sri Lanka earlier this month, England left out James Anderson for the final Test and got Stuart Broad to replace him instead.
“Yes I’m not playing this game, Broady’s going,” Anderson said Wednesday, expressing frustration over a tour in which he has taken just one wicket in two Tests where spinners have dominated.
“The thinking is that with the series sewn up it’s an opportunity to rotate.”
“I think the feeling is they want Broady to get some Test cricket under his belt,” added the 36-year-old.
Meanwhile, England ended a 17-year wait for a test series victory in Sri Lanka after taking an unassailable 2-0 lead with a 57-run victory in Pallekele on Sunday.
England team for the third test:
