Last week after Narsingh failed a second dope test it seemed his Rio participation would not be a possibility. The wrestler had been pleading innocence from the day one and also went on record to say it was a clear case of conspiracy against him.

Once Narsingh was cleared of his charges celebrations began outside NADA office, reported ANI. Narsingh was suspended provisionally after failing a dope test on June 25. Wrestling Federation of India (WFI) had even named Praveen Rana as his provisional replacement.

”Narsingh Yadav is very happy with NADA disciplinary panel’s decision,” WFI president Brij Bhushan Sharan Singh was quoted as saying by ANI. Narsingh will represent Indian in 74kg men’s freestyle wrestling.

His presence will certainly boost India’s chances at the Rio Olympics. Narsingh was India’s lone medal winner at the 2015 World Wrestling Championships, and that helped him book a place for 2016 Olympic Games. Narsingh is also a gold medal winner at the 2010 Commonwealth Games in the 74kg men’s freestyle category.
