David Willey’s career-best 118 trumped Ross Whiteley’s six sixes in an over as Yorkshire defeated Worcestershire to top the NatWest T20 Blast North Group.

After put in to bat, Willey scored a record-breaking 55-ball assault as Yorkshire posted 233 for 6 from their 20 overs.

In the 16th over, Whiteley hit left-arm spinner Karl Carver for six sixes in an over, which also included a wide. After hitting the six sixes, he fell on 65 off 26 balls with Rapids finishing on 196 for 7 in a 37-run defeat.

Whiteley became the sixth batsman to hit achieve the feat in world cricket.
