Nepal U19 team is creating quite a stir in the ICC Under-19 World Cup 2016. The young Nepal team defeated New Zealand U19 in their opening match of the U19 World Cup, and now legspinner Sandeep Lamichhane has claimed a hat-trick against Ireland U19.

The leggie dented Ireland batting order by scalping a five-wicket haul. Sandeep was introduced into the attack in 21st over and he struck in his second over. After bowling three overs, he was then taken off the attack. Also Check- ICC Under-19 Cricket World Cup 2016 Schedule

Captain Raju Rijal then once again brought him back into the attack in 32nd over, and he straightaway inflicted the damage to Ireland U19 by claiming the first hat-trick of this edition of ICC U-19 World Cup.

Lorcan Tucker, Adam Dennison and Fiachra Tucker were Sandeep’s victims. While he had first two batsmen caught, Sandeep bowled his third victim. In his next over, Sandeep picked another wicket to register a five-wicket haul as well. Sandeep then ended his quota of ten overs and his figures read 27 for five.

Nepal U19 surely are playing quality cricket in the ongoing U19 World Cup. They are placed in Group B along with India, New Zealand and Ireland. Nepal U19 next take on India U19 and the game, going by Nepal’s performance so far, looks like will be closely fought one.
