New Zealand Terrorist Attack: Former India cricketer Gautam Gambhir who reacts on various issues concerning the human kind has finally given his version of how he looks at the Christchurch shooting incident. Gambhir, who is known to be a straight talker, blamed the media for its role. He said the blame of the Christchurch killings should rest with us and the ‘propaganda’ media. He also says that how we have branded Muslims as oppressive to gain popularity. “A big part of d blame for Christchurch killings should rest with us & d “Propaganda” Media. We had conveniently branded Muslims as oppressive to gain applause from d majority of d Indian gallery on social media & get TV ratings. For me secularism is the best thing about democracy,” his post read.

Gambhir is not the first cricketer to have condemned the horrific incident that claimed the lives of 49 innocent citizens and injured many. Other cricketers who reacted to this incident were Virat Kohli, VVS Laxman, Ravichandran Ashwin and many more. The grave incident also meant that the Test match that was supposed to be played at the Hague Oval between the touring Bangladesh team and the Blackcaps got canceled.

Our heartfelt condolences go out to the families and friends of those affected by the shocking situation in Christchurch. A joint decision between NZC and the @BCBtigers has been made to cancel the Hagley Oval Test. Again both teams and support staff groups are safe.

“We are offering support to all those within the teams affected by the situation and are continuing to take advice from authorities on the ground,” NZC CEO David White said.
