Amelia Kerr not only became the youngest double centurion at the age of 17 but also smashed the highest individual score in Women’s ODI cricket history. The ferns are having a dream run offlate, if it was Suzie Bates against South Africa Women, it was the teenagers chance replicate the same.
Earlier in the day, the Ferns won the toss and opted to bat first on a placid Dublin strip. The Kiwis put up a mammoth 440 on board for the loss of 4 wickets. Young Amelia Kerr starred with the bat, she scored a breathtaking 232* off merely 145 balls. Her innings was laced with 31 fours and 2 sixes. Kasperek (113) too scored a century off 105 balls, but inevitably her innings got overshadowed by the Amelia Kerr epic.
Here are some of the records that were broken.

She became the youngest to a double century at the age of 17 years 243 days and the fourth youngest to a hundred runs. Mithali Raj is at the top of the list here, she was the youngest to score a hundred at the age of 16-years 205 days and coincidentally the opposition was the same Ireland.
