Olympic Boxing Champion Katie Taylor’s Father SHOT by Gunman in His Irish Gym

Olympic boxing champion Katie Taylor’s father, Peter Taylor has been shot by an unidentified gunman who apparently barged into his Irish gym and open fired. The shooting claimed the life of a 30-yer-old man and left Katie’s father and another person seriously injured. Peter was immediately rushed to the hospital and is being treated.
It is believed that the incident took place at 6:55 AM at Bray Boxing Club in Bray, Co Wicklow, south of Dublin, at about 6.55am.
It is understood that the 30-year-old man was exercising when he was shot at.
Onlookers claimed the suspect fled the scene in a silver-coloured Volkswagen Caddy van with Northern Irish plates.

Peter Taylor was shot in his arm.
Peter Taylor is the owner of the gym where he was shot. The reason or motive behind the action cannot be confirmed as of now.
Forensic investigators are working on the incident and trying to find clues, nothing has been made official as of now, but the investigators are confident they will get a breakthrough soon. Supt Patrick Ward said there was about 15 to 20 people in the gym when the shooting took place. “It was a normal fitness session, as I understand it,” he added.
Katie is a recognised boxer who was first introduced to the world at the 2012 London Olympics where she bagged gold in the lightweight division while cheered on by a roof-raising Irish crowd at the Excel Exhibition Centre in London.
