Pakistan cricketer Shoaib Malik on Wednesday wished for easy rehabilitation for all those people affected by the disastrous floods in Kerala. Extending his greetings on the occasion of Eid-al-Adha, Malik tweeted a picture of a young girl carrying a dog on her head in Kerala and wrote: “Eid Mubarak dosto. My thoughts and prayers are with the people effected by the
#KeralaFloods. May Allah make their rehab easy and May we be able to have a smile like this girl in our bad days iA.(sic)”
The floods in Kerala, worst in a century, have claimed lives of 231 people besides rendering over 14 lakh people homeless.
Meanwhile, legendary Indian cricketer Sachin Tendulkar also extended his wishes on the occasion of Eid al-Adha, also known as Eid-ul-Zuha. “Eid Mubarak to everyone, in India and around the world, celebrating the festival of Eid al-Adha. May the blessings of the almighty always be with you,” Tendulkar tweeted.
“Wishing everyone a happy and blessed Eid-ul Adha. May Allah shower all with happiness and peace,” wrote former Indian cricketer Mohammad Kaif.
The celebration of Eid-al-Adha started on Tuesday night and will continue till Wednesday evening.
