Peshawar Zalmi, Quetta Gladiators, Islamabad United & Karachi Kings make it to the playoffs of Pakistan Super League (PSL). These teams take the top four positions on the PSL points table. Lahore Qalandars following their loss to Islamabad United are out of PSL T20. PSL is a franchise-based T20 league started by Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB). The PSL T20 after initial hiccups has eventually taken off. Karachi Kings, Quetta Gladiators, Lahore Qalandars, Islamabad United and Peshawar Zalmi are the five teams participating in the PSL T20. Each franchise will play eight league stage matches, which means facing other teams twice.

Top four teams on the points table will then progress to playoffs. In the first playoff, top two teams will meet each other for a place in finals. In the second playoff, third and fourth placed teams will face each other and winner will meet the loser of the first playoff in the third playoff. The third playoff will then decide the second finalist.

Dubai International Cricket Stadium and Sharjah Cricket Stadium are the two venues for PSL T20. The first eight matches will be played in Dubai and then teams will travel to Sharjah for nine games. The PSL T20 returns to Dubai for last three league matches, three playoffs and the final on February 23, 2016.

Ten Sports, PTV and Geo Super have got the telecast rights for the PSL T20 in Pakistan. OSN holds the rights in UAE, Prime TV in the UK, Flow TV in the Caribbean and Gazi TV in Bangladesh. PSL T20 will not be telecast in India as no broadcaster has got the rights. However, there will be an official live streaming available for viewers outside Pakistan for free on cricketgateway.com.
