Pakistan vs Bangladesh, Asia Cup 2018 Super Four: It was not on the cards, but the unexpected happened as Bangladesh beat Pakistan by 36 runs to set up a finals date with India. Pakistan’s poor performance has already drawn a lot of flak on social space and now it seems former Pakistan cricketers are also taking a dig at the poor show by Pakistan. Shahid Afridi, Ramiz Raja, and Shoaib Akhtar went on to criticise the display. Afridi took to Twitter and his post read, “Congratulations Bangladesh Disappointed by Pakistani team’s overall performance. Lacked attacking play of cricket in all fields. It’s a young side who performed well in the last tournaments&set r expectations high. More focus n practice is needed 4a stronger comeback.”
Former top-order batsman Ramiz Raja too bashed Pakistan cricket team. His tweet read, “I have never seen a more subdued and off colour Pakistan team in months.. Mistakes more mistakes and same mistakes!! if its mistake manual had gone for printing it would have been a read of thousand pages!!”
And finally, Rawalpindi express Shoaib Akhtar expressed his views. His tweet read, “Really disappointed to see PAK team collapsing like this. I really hope management selectors & players get their act together b4 next series but never mind still standing with PAK team.”
India will now play Bangladesh on September 28. India starts favourites, but Bangladesh will have the momentum on their side.
