Pak-NZ

Pakistan are on the verge of a thumping victory over New Zealand as the 1st Test enters its final day at the Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi on Thursday. The match is set to start at 11:30 am IST (10:00 am local time) and live telecast in India will be on Ten Cricket and Ten HD. Live streaming links will be available on Ten Sports’ official website. Viewers based in Pakistan can stream the match online at PTV Sports’ official website.

Pakistan started day four with 15 runs on the board in the second innings. They already had a huge lead of 304 runs from the first innings and Misbah-ul-Haq opted to declare as soon as Mohammad Hafeez secured his sixth Test century; leaving a 480-run target for the Kiwis to chase.

Brendon McCullum’s side started the chase comparatively better than they did in the first innings. But exceptional bowling from Yasir Shah, Zulfiqar Babar and Rahat ali ensured the visitors were already eight wickets down by the end of the day’s play. It appeared New Zealand were heading for a defeat on the penultimate day but for Mark Craig and Ish Sodhi’s resistance.

NZ managed to amass 174 runs on the board and must either score 306 runs or somehow salvage a draw by holding on to their remaining wickets and tire the Pakistani bowlers till the end of the day. The odds of either possibilities taking place tends to zero and Pakistan should comfortably seal their third straight Test victory in less than five weeks by lunch.
