Pakistan vs New Zealand 1st Test Dubai: Pakistan captain lost his cool and fumed at off-spinner Bilal Asif after the bowler was giving away easy runs to Kiwi tailenders. The incident happened when Asif was hit down the ground for a six by Trent Boult in the first innings of the second Test at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, Abu Dhabi. It was a length ball that Boult hit down the ground for a maximum. Bilal had a tight field in place for Boult, there were three catching fielders in a slip, a forward short leg, as well as a leg slip as Boult, chanced his arm and succeeded. Earlier, New Zealand won the toss and opted to bat first but was bowled out for a paltry 153 runs. Yasir Shah with three wickets was the pick of the bowlers as apart from Kane Williamson’s 63 no one else made any valuable contribution. Pakistan in response got to a score of 227 which gave them a lead of 74 runs which might as well prove to be the difference in this low-scoring affair. At stumps on Day 2, New Zealand was 56/ and were still 18 runs behind.
Earlier, Pakistan won the T20I series as they blanked the Kiwis 3-0 and before that tied the ODI series 1-1.
