Kane Williamson and Martin Guptill notched a record partnership to help their side register a 10-wicket win over Pakistan at Seddon Park in Hamilton. The three-match T20 series is now levelled at one each with third and final T20 to go. You can watch the full video highlights of the match here.

Chasing 169, Williamson and Guptill shared 171 for the opening wicket to completely throw Pakistan out of the contest. Both batsmen started in an attacking fashion and never allowed Pakistan bowlers to come back in the game. Both Guptill and Williamson remained unbeaten on 87 and 72 respectively. Earlier, it was Umar Akmal’s 27-ball 56 that lifted Pakistan to 168 for seven in their allotted 20 overs. Akmal was well supported by Shoaib Malik as the duo put on a 63-run stand for the fourth wicket. Coming back to New Zealand batting, Williamson notched his fifth T20 fifty while Guptill scored his ninth. The duo provided very few chances while batting and kept toying with the Pakistan attack.

Mohammad Amir proved to be the most expensive bowler for Pkaistan as he gave away 34 runs from three overs without picking a wicket. New Zealand and Pakistan will now face in the third and final T20 at Westpac Stadium in Wellington on Friday January 22, 2016.
