India vs New Zealand 2nd T20I: India allrounder hogged the limelight once again during the 2nd T20I at Eden Park, Auckland. If the #MeToo banner tried trolling Blackcaps’ Rape accused Scott Kuggeleijn, then Hardik Pandya also faced the same as a female spectator was spotted holding the banner ‘Pandya Aaj Karke Aaya Kya?’. Pandya recently got in trouble for making misogynistic comments on a popular TV show. What followed was Pandya was suspended and had to take the long flight back to India ahead of the ODI series. The suspension was soon lifted and he was brought back in the team during the 3rd ODI. The female fan seemed to be an Indian who was holding the placard in the stands.
Here is the video:
Since Pandya’s return to the side, he has proved his worth with the ball, the bat and in the field. Fresh trouble emerged for Pandya recently, when a case was registered against him, KL Rahul and Karan Johar in Jodhpur.
Given the form Pandya has shown, he is very much in the reckoning for a World Cup spot as an allrounder.
Meanwhile, the Men in Blue won by seven wickets at Eden Park to level the series at 1-1. This is also India’s first win in New Zealand in T20Is. They lost all the three T20Is which they played before in the Kiwi land. USA is the only country where they have not won a T20I match yet among countries in which they have played the shortest format.
The last T20I is slated to take place on February 10 at Hamilton and it would be interesting to see if India look to make any changes to the winning combination at Hamilton for the decider.
