We could not believe more in the saying ‘God made mothers because he could not be with us everywhere’. And just like us, the demi gods of cricket could not agree more! On the occasion of Mother’s Day, cricket’s biggest names took the opportunity to thank their mothers for everything. From the God of Cricket Sachin Tendulkar to new age batting sensation Virat Kohli to international cricketers Michael Clarke and Brett Lee, everyone not only wished their mommies a Happy Mother’s Day but also expressed their heartfelt gratitude towards them. The lovely thing about their posts on social media has been the adorable photographs they shared along with their mothers. It included cherished pictures depicting either their childhood or special moments that showed off their special bond with their dear mom.

Mothers play a huge role in our lives and cricketers are not untouched by their love either. They have attained the heights of success but it has been the immense help and support of their mothers that they have reached that level. Many of the cricketers have been quite vocal about their love for their moms, but on this special day, it was thoughtful of them to acknowledge all the love, sacrifice and support. For 26-year-old Virat Kohli, his mother Saroj Kohli has been the pillar of strength and has been a key figure in his life.
