Gold Coast (Australia), Apr 9: Pradeep Singh bagged silver medal in Men’s 105 kg weightlifting final at Commonwealth Games 2018. Pardeep lifted 152 kg in snatch and 200 kg in clean and jerk to register a total of 352 kg. However, he failed to lift 211kg in his second clean and jerk attempt, missed gold and had to settle for silver. Sanele Mao, a Samoan weightlifter, won gold in Men’s 105 kg weightlifting after Pradeep Singh failed to get 211kg above his head. Sanele lifted 154 kg in snatch and 206 kg in clean and jerk to register a total of 360 kg. England’s Owen Boxall clinched the bronze with a total of 351 kg which included 152 kg in snatch and 199 kg in clean and jerk.
