Spanish international Diego Costa is known for having a reputation of a ‘rebel’ and an aggressive striker on the field, but little do we know about his character off it. On the occasion of new year, Costa pulled off a hilarious prank on his brother Jair Costa by waking him up from his sleep by setting fireworks on his bed. The former Chelsea man appears to be quite a playful one off the field.

The 30-year-old is currently plying his trade at Atletico Madrid. After winning the Premier League with Chelsea in the 2016-17 season, he returned to his former club Atletico Madrid in the summer of 2017.

The striker welcomed 2019 in the most comical fashion but at the cost of his brother’s sound sleep. He pulled off the prank on his brother and watched on from a safe distance. Later, the video of the incident was posted by Costa on his official social media handle.

Lately, the striker has been linked with a move to the cash-rich Chinese Super league’s Tianjin Quanjian. However, Atletico’s head coach Diego Simeone has revealed that he is keen on keeping Costa at the club.
