Pro Kabaddi 2016 Telugu Titans vs Jaipur Pink Panthers, Match Result & Highlights: Titans beat Panthers, qualify for PKL 4 semifinal

Telugu Titans became the third team to make it to Pro Kabaddi League Season 4 semi-finals after defeating Jaipur Pink Panthers by 12 points. The other two teams who have qualified for last four are defending champions Patna Pirates and Jaipur Pink Panthers. After 40 minutes of tussle, Titans registered their seventh win of the season with the score reading 25-23. In the opening five minutes of the match, Pink Panthers started with the lead. However, nearing the half time, Titans bounced back to not only go past Pink Panthers’ score but to take a valuable lead as well. At half time, Titans were leading by clear ten points.

After the half time, Titans kept dominating the proceedings and never allowed Pink Panthers to recover. The lead kept swelling, and eventually Titans emerged as victorious. For Titans, Captain Rahul Chaudhari scored 11 points, eight touch and three bonus. On the other hand, it was Tushar Patil who scored most for Pink Panthers- eight.

With this win, Titans hold on to third place on the points table and have 45 points against their name. Telugu Titans have one more league match to go and have the impressive score difference of +46. They can certainly better their position on the team standings.

Pink Panthers, playing their last league match before the semis, finish with 47 points from 14 games and currently placed second on the table. The season one winners will be disappointed to go into the semis with a defeat on their back. (Image: prokabaddi.com).
