Ravindra Jadeja is a livewire on the field and as an opposition, you cannot make the mistake of taking your eyes off him, he has the capability of hurting you like he did today. Jadeja was positioned at the mid-wicket boundary on the leg-side as Harbhajan Singh bowled a rank long-hop. AB de Villiers’ eyes lit up on seeing the delivery banged in short. He looked to rock back and smash Harbhajan for a six. Unfortunately for De Villiers, it did not come off the middle of the bat and went aerial. Jadeja covered ground before he leaped in front and held on to the ball inches off the ground to bring an end to De Villiers innings. The South African managed to score nine runs.

Meanwhile, Jadeja also picked up a couple of wickets with the ball. It was a match to forget for Bangalore after they were forced to bat first after Chennai won the toss. Harbhajan and Tahir with three wickets each to their name were the best bowlers for Chennai.

As we speak, Suresh Raina has become the first Indian to score 5000 runs in the ongoing Indian T20 League. Chennai still need 34 runs to win which should be a cakewalk for the defending champions.
