New Delhi: Real Madrid has struggled to find their best form this season, with a shaky start and multiple injuries hindering their campaign.

Madrid’s 4-0 win over Osasuna in La Liga came at a cost, as Eder Militao, Rodrygo, and Lucas Vazquez all suffered injuries, adding further pressure on Carlo Ancelotti.

Real Madrid, facing mounting injury woes, are reportedly eyeing Aymeric Laporte as a potential reinforcement in the transfer market. Laporte, who currently plays for Al-Nassr alongside Cristiano Ronaldo, has emerged as a target for the reigning Spanish champions.

According to a report by Ramon Alvarez de Mon, Carlo Ancelotti has set his sights on Spanish defender Aymeric Laporte. Since joining Al-Nassr from Manchester City last year, Laporte has been a key figure in the Saudi club’s defense.

The 30-year-old Aymeric Laporte has a contract with Al-Nassr until 2026, meaning Real Madrid would face a substantial transfer fee to secure his services. Reports suggest that Madrid is reluctant to meet Al-Nassr’s demands and may explore the possibility of a six-month loan deal, although this appears challenging at the moment.

Laporte would also have to take a substantial pay cut in a bid to return to European football and it remains to be seen how things take place in the January transfer window.

Madrid manager Carlo Ancelotti attributed the mounting injuries to the congested fixture schedule, stating, “Three injuries in the 1st half is not normal. This calendar doesn’t allow players to rest,” as reported by Madrid Universal.

“We will evaluate in the coming months because now there is nothing to do. We must try to recover the maximum possible players and we will evaluate what can be done.”
“I don’t think about the transfer market because we have games until the Christmas break. I have to prepare the games with the players I have.”
