One of boxing’s all-time greatest Floyd Mayweather thrashed Japanese kickboxer Tenshin Nasukawa to win the match in the first-round in a New Year’s exhibition match in Saitama, Japan. The odds in the match were, however, starkly favouring the Mayweather. While the Japanese was facing the drawback of facing a fine if he tried kicking during the match, Mayweather was carrying a 4 kg weight advantage into the match.

The American, who holds a 50-0 winning record in the professional bouts and has retired from boxing, said that he has got no plans of returning to boxing. He further stated that the result of the exhibition match would not be added to the record of both the boxers.

“I’m still retired. I don’t look forward to coming back to boxing. This won’t go on my record. It won’t go on Tenshin’s record. Tenshin is still undefeated. I’m still undefeated,” CNN quoted Mayweather, as saying.

Nasukawa, who holds a formidable reputation as a kickboxer, was in tears at the end of the bout.
