The 2016 Rio Olympics begins from August 05 in Brazil and India is one of the 207 participating nations. According to Indian Olympic Association website 120 athletes will represent India at the Rio Olympics, making it country’s strongest contingent ever to take part in the Games.

With the biggest (in terms of numbers) contingent ever going to participate in the Olympics India will be looking to better their medals tally this time around. India at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London managed to win six medals (two silver and four bronze).

The 120 athletes include 32 members of Indian men’s and women’s hockey team. Apart from them, 36 athletes will represent India in Athletics (track and field events) category alone. Indian will be competing across 15 events at Rio Olympics.
