Hello and welcome to the final day of Rio Olympics 2016. You can catch all the live updates here. It is Day 16 and for India, Yogeshwar Dutt will be in action. He really is the last hope for India to win a medal and add to their tally which is at two at this point and time. Yogeshwar has always been looked as someone who can do some magic and hopefully bring India the third medal which in all honestly is the maximum India can hope for. ALSO READ: Rio Olympics 2016 India Schedule, in IST

Three Indian men, Thonakal Gopi, Kheta Ram and Nitendra Singh Rawat, will be competing in the men’s marathon and it is not going to be easy for them. They only have an outside chance to do any damage, break the field and hopefully for us win a medal. But it is fair to say that these have not been great Games for India. India had hoped better.

India were looking at the six medals in London as the benchmark and were looking to better that. But as things stand, that will not happen. It is not to say that Indian athletes did not give their best. They did. It is just that we did not have enough performers when it really mattered.

But Rio has been an exciting journey. A journey of 15 glorious days thus far where there was a lot to remember. Hope the final day is just as exciting and we have a cracking finish to a marvellous Olympics.
