The country that got the highest No. of medals (121) this Olympics is USA. The athletes bagged 46 gold medals, 37 silver medals and 38 bronze medals. Following USA is Great Britain with 67 medals in total, including golds 27, 23 silvers and 17 bronzes. At the third position is China with a total of 70 medals including 26 gold, 18 silver and 26 bronze. India in this edition managed only two medals as Sakshi Malik won the bronze for women’s 58 kg freestyle wrestling and PV Sindhu bagged a silver in the women’s singles of badminton. Rio 2016 has to memorable for a lot of reasons, including the fact that this was the last time the Olympics saw perform two of the legends, Michael Phelps and Usain Bolt. Phelps completed his Olympics career with an astonishing 23 gold medal with 29 medals in total. Bolt, the fastest man recorded, also calls it a day as he successfully defended his gold medals for the second time in a row in all three events he participated.
