On Thursday, the star batsman finally gave a glimpse of his new-born baby to all his fans without revealing her face on his official Twitter handle. Rohit posted the picture of the baby duly holding its mother Ritika’s hand and also his hand. Along with the picture, Rohit also wished his fans on the start of the new year. Earlier, an Instagram story posted by Ritika’s cousin Seema Khan, who’s also Sohail Khan’s wife, suggested that the couple have been blessed with a baby girl. Khan posted an Instagram story captioned ‘baby girl’, ‘masi’s again’ with a picture of her and Ritika. The couple tied the knot on 13 December 2015.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced that the right-hand batsman will give a miss to the final Test of the ongoing four-match series against Australia that started January 3 in Sydney.

The cricket body also congratulated Sharma on the “beginning of a new chapter in his life”. “Rohit is not playing the fourth and the final Test against Australia at Sydney, he is replaced by opener KL Rahul. Rohit is expected to join the national ODI side on January 8 when the team begins their preparation for the three-match ODI series versus Australia starting January 12.
