Kaspersky Lab announced one of the most innovative ideas today at the Ryan International School, Mumbai. They have come up with a programme to educate the students about the grey ares of the Internet. This programme, named, Kaspersky Kid, will help children experience a safer internet domain.
The programme was launched by none other than Kaspersky Lab’s brand ambassador, Sachin Tendulkar and Chairman and CEO, Eugene Kaspersky. The beloved God of Cricket also presented his autographed bat at the programme. This will be auctioned by the lab and the proceeds will go into the Kaspersky Kids awakes programme. The CEO, Eugene Kaspersky has also promised to fund an equivalent amount for the cause.
Kids, these days are more attracted and attached to the Web than before and they are often unaware of the internet crimes and hacking. The Lab hopes to deliver an online safety education through a daily blog, named Kaspersky Daily, online newsletters and training modules administered by school computer instructors and lastly by on ground engagement events and contests.
This initiative will educate our children to be aware of the other side of internet and ensure secure browsing and will be highly encouraging. How this programme shapes is yet to be send, but Kaspersky has taken a much needed initiative and many would soon follow their steps.
