Reknowned  English commentator David Lloyd  is well known for his commendable analyzing skills and his ability to put cricket action into words which is respected in the cricket and English broadcasting industry.

Lloyd is also a former England international cricketer and has played nine test matches.

In an interview with Times of India, The commentator has weighed in on the Virat Kohli-Sachin Tendulkar debate and called the current Indian captain as the best ever India has produced.  Llyod reckoned that Sachin was more pleasing to the eyes but when it comes to destruct opponents he would any day pick Virat in his side.

He also went on to say that the Indian skipper reminded him of the legendary Sir Viv Richards with the kind of domination he shows over the bowlers on the pitch.

“Sachin Tendulkar was aesthetically very pleasing, easy on the eye. But if I had to win a game I would have banked on Brian Lara and I see that trait in Kohli. He is a bit like Viv Richards too – he can absolutely dominate an era. Sachin was a great player but Kohli can inflict more damage,” Lloyd said to the Times of India.

The Virat Kohli vs Sachin Tendulkar comparison has been a subject of discussion for quite some time now, with Kohli continuously proving himself in the pitch, raising debates over if he will over Sachin Tendulkar as India’s greatest ever.

From a neutral point of view, It is best we put such debates to bed as relish the amazing cricket that Kohli brings to the field in the most pure form.
